its sort of amazing how nowhere in the american education system will tell u anything about american anarchists even though there was a period in history where they were like of such massive importance and interest to the public. im 21 and i didnt know about this stuff until now this is so surreal to me……there was a whole couple decades when anarchists and revolutionary labor unions were rounded up constantly on false claims and like this was a whole real public terror deal instituted by the government and like literally looking around today u would have no idea it ever happened no one ever talks about it. there was a period when the word anarchist like struck fear into the average american liek omg this is freaking me out asfj

Given the fact that the majority of prisoners are poor people and/or people of color, and that the majority of prisoners are convicted of non-violent crimes such as drug use/sales and/or theft, etc., this is a crime against humanity.
Moreover, the for-profit private prison industry is one of the fastest growing in America. That means that already-super-rich investors and owners make millions of dollars off of super-exploited slave labor in the prisons. This is an outrage. It is the intersection of racism, capitalism, and repression and it is a blight on the U.S. and the human species.
